Humers in √√√ low, not very lush, scrub. It certainly looks as if the Humers, and possibly all the diglossinis here, are more concentrated than when I was here before.

8:41 am. There certainly are still a lot of Diglossines in the Eucalypts. Hear an appreciable number of R and R-Zaza pattern. But fog is in again, no it is difficult to see.

Long-tailed Hummingbirds still around.

Everything very quiet 8:53 Then some more chasing and fighting begins.

Humers repeatedly supplanting hummingbirds.

Leaving 9:15 am. Fog getting thicker - if possible

Arrive back same area 4:00 pm. Pouring rain! Will wait to see if it lets up.
Rain getting lighter 4:37. going to see if I can do anything. 

Watch the tree until 5:35. But the rain is really too hard to permit decent work. Nevertheless, I noticed the following:

There were still a lot of Humers in the tree. At least 6. Possibly as many as 10. I did not see any Coers.

The Humers still chased hummingbirds from time to time.

Almost all the Humers fed on nothing but the flowers of the Eucalypt. No attempts to pick insects off leaves or crevices. One individual (definitely Humer) made one fly catching flight.

There were no "typical", i.e independent, Songs. Lots of R and R-Zaza patterns. With chases. Once or twice, an R was followed by a series of 5 or 6 brief notes, probably abbreviated Twitter.

The group in the trees definitely is a flock of some sort. This afternoon all the birds were concentrated on one side of the trees - in
