Then see it is really a pair of Firebellies ✓. Across the stream from the Firebellies, 40ft away, are at least 3 or 4 spinetails ✓✓✓. But I don't think they are reacting with the Firebellies. Near the spinetails is a Black Diglossa ✓. Probably Humer. Silent. Flies away.

4:30pm. See single White-bearded Flycatcher ✓ alone.

Go quite far up the ravine, without seeing anything more. Then start down again 4:50pm.

5:20 What looks like a Laf ✓ flies by. Silent and alone.

[] Humer 104 []
A few minutes later see single Humer ✓ feeding on Foxglove. Silent and alone.

[] Laf 105 []
5:35 See what looks like Laf ✓ feeding in scrub near where flock seen earlier this afternoon.
5:45pm. Leaving.

COMMENTS:
[] Bari? Gen []
If the bird seen early this afternoon really was a Bari, then it would appear that Baris are more widely distributed now than in September or October 1962. This is reminiscent of the situation in the Sierra de Mérida. Perhaps it is characteristic of all Diglossini that they move and "spread out" during the non-breeding season????

It might be mentioned that tis has been a very unusual "invierno". Much more rain than usual (30 hrs of rain in Bogota from Jueves Santo, Apr. 15, thru Sabado Santo, Apr. 17)

Transcription Notes:
invierno = Spanish for winter Jueves Santo = Maundy Thursday Sabado Santo = Holy Saturday
