6:55. Humer repeatedly chases two smaller birds. All silent. I think the two smaller birds were Baris.

See Scans feeding on red Abu flowers. Definitely putting bill to base of corollas of flowers! I think I saw Scans near the Rectoria doing same thing with yellow Abu flowers. Not obviously inserting bill between petals.

Is Scans using Diglossa holes? If so this would help to explain why it is so un-aggressive, so "meek" toward Humers!!!

Oh well! I have just picked an Abu flower and looked at it carefully. Which rather ruins theory in preceding paragraph. Petals are naturally separated at bases!

But wait! I see that many of the Abu flowers have holes in sepals. Perhaps this is where nectar is!
