[[margin]] Bari Scan [[/margin]]
away. But then repeatedly attacked by Scan. Scan hovers in group of Bari, moving forward & back. ♂ Bari responds by assuming low posture with wings stretched way out horizontally. I saw the posture only front view. More or less comme ça.

[[margin]] Bari [[/margin]]
Head turned a little sideways - to face the Scan. (But probably not twisted as much as in drawing.) Bill wide open. Revealing bright pink inside. But bird apparently silent. Underparts probably fluffed - particularly laterally. Wings held motionless or only quivered very slightly and briefly. Tail spread. Probably also slightly raised.

The Scan apparently retreated after a few seconds, and I lost sight of the ♂ Bari.

[[margin]] Humer Bari Gen [[/margin]]
7:33 Humer chases smaller bird in flight Apparently ♀ Bari
I wonder why there are no Cys (or Coers) here???

[[margin]] Bari Humer [[/margin]]
7:45 Go back to third garden. Perhaps a few more birds here. ♂ Bari lands in Red Abu. Starts to feed. The ♀ Bari lands a ft away. Also feeds. Then Humer supplants and chases ♀ Bari. Then same Humer returns to supplant ♂ Bari!

[[margin]] Bari Humer [[/margin]]
It is surprising, in view of all the Humer - Bari hostility that the territories or home ranges of the two species are not mutually exclusive. Baris seem to be "un-discourageable"!

[[margin]] Scan Humer [[/margin]]
Scan feeding same Red Abu bush as Baris earlier. Humer approaches. Scan retreats. Humer goes back. Scan goes back to Abu.
