Going to work in University gardens again this morning

Arrive "central" garden, where most observations were made a couple of months ago, 5:30 am. Warm. Just getting light. Cloudy (it rained heavily last night).

[] Scan []
Lots of bird noises. Lots of Andean Sparrows. First hummingbird sounds 5:31. Apparently fighting. Then a trace of scan-type "Chuk" Song. Then silence.

[] Scan []
More Scan-type noises, fighting and "Chuk" Notes, 5:41. Then see bird. 6 ft up in Yellow Abu. Certainly Calibri sp. Still too dark to see colors well.

There seem to be rather fewer flowers in garden now than a few months ago. Especially fewer Kniphophora ("Kni"). And, apparently, many fewer Diglossas!!!

[] Scan []
5:52. Get good new Calibri. Definitely Scan!

[] Bari []
Scan repeatedly Swoops at some other bird. Apparently female Bari. Silent. Latter moves on a few inches; but does not fly away.

[] Scan []
Scan "Chuk" Song in full blast surrounding trees, 5:56 am. Nothing else, of interest, audible at the same time.

Transcription Notes:
Deleted formatting details (e.g., indents, underlining)& added [] per transcription instructions "Chuk" or "Cluck"??? I'm leaning toward "Chuk" because of the shape of his "h" and "l" Half of checkmarks regular color pencil and half blue pencil removed some annotations (e.g. underlines) based on transcription guidelines I agree with "chuk". removed annotation, but: Kniphophora - [[ misspelled Kniphofia?]]
