Mixed Diglossini, May 21, 1972, I [[circled]] 59 [[/circled]]

late. Then fog starts to come in. Obviously observation will be a little difficult this morning, at least at first

[] Cy? [] 5:50. Hear lots of "Ta seeeee seeee seeee" Songs near Hotel. Possibly Cy. Essentially NODWAH. (There may be some Colibri Song further uphill, but the Colibri seem to be less noisy than usual. Possibly discouraged by fog?)

[] Cy? [] More presumed Cy Song a few yds down road. All "Ta seeee seeee seee" type. NODWAH

6:05. A little further down road, hear what could be Diglossine Twitters. NODWAH

6:15 See pair brunneinucha on ground edge road. Lots of Call Notes. Apparently alone.

Fog lifting 6:20.

[] CC [] 6:26. See single CC 3 ft up in second growth bush. Silent. There is a Synallaxis only about 2 ft from the CC, but the 2 birds appear to go in different directions.

Se a pair of Orange bills in second growth. Apparently alone. One is Singing vigorously.

[] CC Thalass [] Hear what sound like CC Songs. Triplets. Alternating with Thalass. Then both birds shut up.

[] CC Brun [] 6:40. More CC type Songs NODWAH. Area rather sparse scrub. (Does CC occur in sparser scrub than Brun here?)

[] CC Bari [] Then see single [[female symbol]] Bari. Silent. Alone. 50 ft away from CC but in exactly same type of scrub. (As far as I can tell, there are no Colibri in either of these particular areas, although there are Colibris nearby and quite a lot of smaller hummingbirds nearby). This [[female symbol]] Bari moves rapidly through bushes 1-3 ft
