Again & again have seen Rasp-DC as form "greeting" by chick toward parent 4:18

Forgot to mention. Once, first day here, I saw a strange chick brooded briefly before being driven away.

[] !!! [] Two chicks fighting in nest. One definitely the aggressor, one the victim. Aggressor doing little in the way of display (possibly an occas. Rasp D.C.) Just peck's at victim's nape. Victim doing many DC's and or Rasp D.C's. Head and bill pointed downward. Parent pays no attention. Then chicks relax, sleep side by side 4:22

[] !! [] Saw a long dispute. Long for this species at least. Lasted several seconds. Apparently involved an unwanted bird. No sign of choking.

Brief flying about with ALC now. 4:28

Have seen no sign of hunched yet.

Panic 4:31. Starts to break up fairly quickly, but the trouble is that some of the near birds are still very nervous. A lot of the chicks ran unfortunately. Minor bit of panic continues a long time.

Chicks tend, I think, to discount the ALC's of any except their parents.

Chicks are certainly fed very rarely.

Birds still haven't settled very well 4:52

Another example of both parents and chicks attacking another chick. No display except DC by attacking chick. Attacked chick does DC with head down. Then, when attacked by adult, [[?]] does head down crouch. Also, another time, tries to crawl under adult.

Birds still flying around blind, giving ALC, 5:02. Minor panics at far side of colony now.

[] !! [] Definitely the whistle that is given with that trace of T, although
