July 6 III

it is by no means invariably associated with FB yet.

[] !!! [] Should also mention that whistles can be given by chicks doing FB without trace of T?

Several more cases of chicks apparently attacking trespassing adults 5:18.

[] !! [] Angle at peak of adult T is rather more extreme than I first thought. Almost as great as that of atricilla T.

The T of chicks that I have been talking about, although not exactly from hunched, is from a fairly relaxed, head-withdrawn posture. No trace of real bobbing.

Except for Night Heron being attacked in the distance, everything is very dull again 5:46. Still 6:10

Still plenty of unmated birds about.

[] !!!!!!! [] Dispute between two neighbors, each on station. Each on station. One with chick more aggressive. Sequence not clear in all respects, because of flying birds, but following a dispute. Aggressor: (O-CC) (intermediate) - AC. Less aggressive bird, apparently [[?]] (O-CC) -CH-T-Ch-T-Ch-T-Ch-T etc.; Then [[?]] Ch with a series of G.C's. Aggressor flies off. Then the less aggressive bird flies to the aggressor's station, but is repulsed by chick 6:20.

[] ! [] Some of what I have been calling (O-CC) are probably just plain O.
