Dear Mr.Seligman,

I am sorry to report that we were outbid at yesterdays sale :

    42,the hat badge fetched | £ 750
    8o,the medaillon,Dresden | 360

The sale went quite well, it may interest you that some of the main pieces were bought by Baron Thyssen.

Since I am feeling much better I have decided not to postpone my trip any longer.I will leave London Friday morning and return on the 3oth of May.

I am very sorry to miss you herenext week.My wife would only be too pleased to help you in any way-please do not hesitate to ask her.

My restorer is still not available. We must leave it for some other time.

I should like to thank you for the excellent lunch and hope to see you soon again.

With best regards,

yours sincerely
