Dear Herbert:

Though I have not heard from you in several weeks I do hope that both Lieselotte and you are in good health and have so far escaped from the Hong Kong flu.

[[underline]]At CHRISTIE'S, February 11[[/underline]] - ENGLISH DRAWINGS AND WATERCOLORS, I notice:

[[underline]]#133 - ALMA-TADEMA[[/underline]] - "Sound fades into Silence..."

Should the quality and condition warrant it I would be obliged to you for sending a photograph with your valuation.

This reminds me that contrary to my expectation, you did not indicate the expenses incurred last year and for which I would like to reimburse you. I truly fee, for instance, that if a photograph does not lead to a business I should be debited accordingly.

I trust that in the meantime you have received the photograph of the Carle VERNET drawing - "The Battle of Marengo" which you were anxious to have.

With kindest thoughts,

Yours,

Germain Seligman
