(6) The transfer of the specimens to new walnut stands, of the style already adopted for part of the collection. This work could be made cotemporary with the labeling of the collection.

(7) The disposal of surplus duplicate material, regarding which I would suggest the following plan: In the first place, the duplicate collection should be assorted into two series, one of which should contain a limited number of all the species and all the rarer kinds, to be reserved for special exchanges. The remainder should then be made up into sets for distribution. In this manner, many colleges, schools, and museums of lesser rank could be provided with fair working collections of North American birds, and at the same time the strain on our storage capacity greatly lessened.

(8). As a matter of considerable importance to the Museum, and also of justice to authors who contribute their papers to the Proceedings or Bulletins of the Museum, some change should be made, if possible, in the printing of said articles.
