[[underline]]Work of assistants[[/underline]]. Mr. Marshall has been employed, while not taking his vacation, in mounting birds for the exhibition series of the museum, the accessions to which include a number of specimens of much beauty and interest.  Mr. Shoemaker has been employed with the usual clerical duties and in assisting the curator in many ways.  Mr. J. L. Ridgway has been wholly employed in making outline drawings of reptiles for Dr. Yarrow, the honorary curator of that department.

[[underline]]Special[[/underline]] [[underline]] work[[/underline]] [[underline]]accomplished[[/underline]]. Every effort has been made to complete the rearrangement of the collections, which has engaged the time and thought of the curator for several months past.  The work
