The tall China Taoist

     Mr. Freer thinks the earliest were the white, got from Persia.  The Seiji & grey came [[strikethrough]] from s[/strikethrough]] later  The white in these is a glass glaze
Mr Freer thinks the other Seiji came out of the grays - not deriving from Han.  [[Mr. F?]] says he thinks the white was restored to the dull cream.

     Of the Corean, Mr. Freer believes the gray green to be of same time as the Taoist vases
     Of the Corean pitcher, white, Mr. Freer thinks they may be Persian of early Xth century.  F. thinks
these are not Corean.

   The design on the 2 green gray pieces, of abstract [[and?]] flowers, & other Corean [[piece?]], may well be Mohammedan design, he thinks.

     The Ming white glaze he thinks is a little [[strikethrough]]harder than[[/strikethrough]] more glossy than the Sung.  but he seems [[?]]
to judge by [[?]] rims being left rough.
     Also the clay is much [[strikethrough]]softer[[/strikethrough]] ^[[harder]] than the Sung in the whites.
     There is one saucer of fine porcelain [[from?]] Dow collection - has Chinese [[?]] on it. Which glaze is slightly pinkish - unique. No 180.

     Mr Freer does not believe there are any Chinese Seiji of Sung, only Corean - 
     Chinese Celadons [[eight?]] [[strikethrough]] if they [[/strikethrough]] probably not Sung, but Ming. 
     Thinks Corean got the gray greens from the Persian things.
     These are Persian Celadons [[influenced?]] later Chinese.
