This jade Pi was also excavated from  the earth at Hsia Hsi of Chekiang and procured by the late Viceroy Tuan Fang. The substance ^[[is]] of the best quality and of varied colors with a coat of earth mould. It was sometimes presented to the Emperor by his satraps as tribute and rarely passed from hands to hands among the commons. The present jade dates back over 2,800 years.

This jade Pi is of sun-flower color mixed with bright yellowish tinge, a medley ,so to speak, of briliant colors,among the collections of the noted art Connoisseur Woo Ta Cheng of Kiangsu. It was excavated from the An Hsi district of Chekiang and dates as far back as 2,800 years.
