Chow Ku Pi
diameter 4.7" in. thickness 1/10" in.

This was excavated at Sianfu , Shensi, some twenty years ago and procured by the late Viceroy Tuan Fang. It is of pure jade with red spots scattered all over, having also a coat of fine whitish mould. It is decorates with lines of grains.

This Kung Pi is of pure jade with a coat of yellowish mould, transparently brilliant, usually presented to their emperor by ancient satraps of different dominions. It is ^[[of]] extraordinary size, hence the name "Kung Pi". It dates back over 2,800 years having been excavated at An Hsi, Chekiang.
