This was excavated at Sianfu, Shensi and procured by the late Viceroy Tuan Fang. It is of a richly green color with a coat of light yellow lime substance. As has been described, Tsung jades were used by the ancients when offering sacrifices to the God of Earth.

Hair Ring
h. 1.7 1.2" diametre 2.6 1/2" in.

It is of the shape of a modern bracelet but broader, used by the ancient as a hair ornament. It is of yellow-sunflower color with red spots on teh edges decorated with the Chinese national symbol of longevity.
It's transparent and of briliant colors, being excavated at Hsia Hsi, of Chekiang and secured by the late Viceroy Tuan Fang.
