No. 119. Pu Sheo (Door Plate) H.2"in W. 6.1" in. This Pu Sheo or door plate in the shape of a lid to a pot of some sort, was an old door plate, a part of the door handle or pull. It is decorated with strange designs having a heavy coat of green mould. No.120. Door Plate, supporting the Door Pull diametre 4.1" in. thickness 5/10" in. ---------- Door plates are usually manufactured in the shape of such animals as elephants, tortoises and sometimes snakes, but this one was in the form of a unicorn which is something very rare. Being excavated in Sianfu, Shensi and secured by Chen Kai Chi of Wei Hsien of Shangtung. It is gilded all over and a door plate for palace doors, and on the opposite there are several layers of colored moulds, indicating long contact with earth under ground.
