This gold piece was usually used by the ancient princesses [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] [[pencil]] or [[/pencil]] high court ladies , as a garment weight, as the ancient court costumes were in loose and floating fashion.

It was excavated from Shanse and secured by Chen Kai Chi of Wei Hsien. The piece was decorated with very fine lines of engraving, but owing to its being buried underground for an extraordinary length of time, the decorations become rather obscure. [[/blue type]]
