No. 148. Lung Chuan Brsuh Washing Vessel h. 3.5" in w. 11.4" in. [[short line]] This was fabricated at Lung Chuan Factory, Chekiang, having prunus green coloringwhich was the most popular color at the time. The vessel is of large ^[[size]], decorated with variegated designs, dating back over 900 years. The vessels has however no defects. [[end page]] [[start page]] No. 149. Flower Basket--Kiln of Yueh h. 7.4" in. w. 9.1" in. [[short line]] In time of Han, the art of porcelain had not b been discovered, this basket is of pottery without doubt; yet the substances from which the basket was manufactured, were considered even better than modern porcelain and when tapped it gives a sweet melodious sound. This was excavated from an ancient tomb and found to be a genuine product of the noted Yueh Yao Kiln, at Shaoshingfu, Chekiang. It is specially valuable, as it has been kept all theses long ages without any defects.
