pository might be. Althou more than ten thousands fragments of the inscribed bones must have been recovered from the site in the last thirty years, our idea of the exact distribution could be formed only from hearsays. Still our observation make definite at least one point regarding the distribution of the artifacts; that is, they occur in groups. For instance, most of our inscribed bones were found only in pits S2 and S2Bn; most of the arrowheads, in the northern digging. These certainly prove that the localities of the various artifiacts could not be all accidental.

If the above observations hold true, we are then justified to expect discoveries of regular features of what come underneath the cultural stratum. Even though the actual repositories could not be found, there ought to be at least traces of house foundation, walls or such like, In fact our whole staff were on the look out for such features all the time during the ^[[field]] operation, althou at the close of the season, positive evidences are still wanting. But certain features definitely reminiscent of such traces have been found. It has been recorded above that in the pit WSnBw, below the depth of 2.50 m., the cultural soil began to arch into the southern boundary and border on virgin soil. Such condition descended down to the fourth meter, at which the arc was elongated elliptically towards the north, with an opening passage joining another rectangular depression further north. The elliptical depression after its completion descended another meter before it reached the flat bottom while the rectangular one ended about half a meter higher.

In pits S2, S2Bn, S3E and their surroundings there are three regular remains, two of which are rectangular in shape and orientated directly NS. The middle one is also rectangular but not so orientated. The rectangular column of cultural soil( ) on the south continued way down to the eighth meter, and before it reached the water level
