Transcription Notes:
cf. panamensis [[Reference slide]] Bartlett 8-65, H.U. 6206 Hand edit: added author. [GeoNames lists both Panama and Colombia has having a Rio Chagres] It seems more likely that it was collected in Panama because the original author was unsure if it was panamensis and wanted to compare the new sample against an example of panamensis . C.F. (short for the Latin: confer, "compare with") or a question mark (?) signify varying degrees or types of uncertainty and may be used differently depending on the author. In more recent usage, "cf." indicates greater uncertainty than a question mark. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cf.
