[[underlined]] Aug 13 [[/underlined]] Sunday. Mailed 7 packages & my part of the report along route to Green R. Basin. Loring has not got his bird list ready to mail.
Had a poor place to camp so started on & camped in a nice little grove & meadow just past old Camp Stambough. A heavy rain came up & we camped in a hurry & put up tent but it did not rain long. Cleared off & we had a pleasant afternoon. Still one days travel from Lander & mail.

[[underlined]] Aug. 14 [[/underlined]] Started early & passing through the old camp of Miners Delight crossed [[strikethrough]] a [[/strikethrough]] 2 long ridges & down into Red CaƱon followed it about 6 or 8 miles and then over ridges and low country to Lander where we arrived at 4 P.M. & found Dr. Bagg waiting for us. Came 30 miles with pretty good roads and a drop of nearly 3000 feet. Found plenty of Cynomys leucurus in valley. Lander is a nice town of probably 2000 population in a splendid farming valley.
Camped at edge of town.

Reviewed. Edited markup for consistency with this and other Vernon Bailey projects. Corrected minor typo's and checked localities and species names. Camp Stambough = Vernon might mean Camp Stambaugh -@siobhanleachman
