Therefore, I would not hesitate discreetly to explore the matter with the Keidanren putting the emphasis on mutuality of the project and on the mutual benefits. I understand that Nihachiro Hanamura, the Secretary General is now the focal point for such matters.

Not being familiar with the contacts that Dillon Ripley or others in the institution may have already established, I would be inclined to solicit the suggestions of Clifton Forster, Public Affairs Counselor of the Embassy and/or Jim Stewart of the Asia Foundation. 

At some point I suggest that it would be important to brief the Japanese Embassy here. It might also be worth while to brief Nobuhiko Ushiba who frequently travels to Washington in connection with his duties on the "Wise Men".
