We started on the evening of the 15th in the large Russian Sidaua and eating and sleeping in the boat notwithstanding the continued bad weather, we arrived at St Michaels in the short space of ten days being less than twenty days from Fort Selkirk. Large quantities of dried salmon & fresh geese were obtained along the lower part of the river and abundance might have been obtained for the winter had it been desired.
