In viewing new scenes think of putting them on paper;  first impressions are clear and strong.

And now let me urge you, as clooler weather returns and studies are resumed, to set apart at least half an hour for drawing.  You cannot improve without practice.  You may well preserve your work to compare with nature, and with succeeding efforts.
