If we wait as long as we'd have to here before catching a boat - we [[strikethrough]] might [[/strikethrough]] would find that if war came we would be completely cut off from boat or sympathy - because Italy would be on Germany's side - & Gibralter [[Gibraltar]] would close. If we sail from here in 10 days (which is the earliest passage available) we would have to abandon the car here, & probably never see it again.
