Life has been flying along - full of emotions & excitement - since I last wrote a week ago, & here I am in Eastbourne staying with Kenneth. It is extraordinary that at last I have found someone with whom I was infatuated [[strikethrough]] with [[/strikethrough]] from the start, & who became equally infatuated, & in spite of the fact that we have both confessed it to each other, nothing has gone flat. It has been steadily rising into well founded affection, & none of the first infatuation has flown away since we have become sure of each other, & in spite of the fact that we've only seen each other a month in all, we don't feel we are carried away. He said he has no money & couldn't now, but that I must think about it. [[strikethrough]] what he had said. [[/strikethrough]] Well I must admit that I have never considered considering marriage before this, but somehow with all my unstable complicated thoughts & moods, his simple & direct & restful manner of thinking & behaving, & his unselfconscious naturalness, & his intelligent soundness & sensitive sympathy & understanding - are very refreshing & good for me. He has qualities I need, which are like mummie's in many ways. The trouble is [[strikethrough]] he is [[/strikethrough]] in his being only as old as I am, & he should have known
