Supt.
Harpers Ferry W. Va

Captain,
In your communication to the General of the 5th inst the price for lumber (School house at Sheperdstown W Va.) as stated by you is less than it can be furnished for from Washington. Please inform me what will be the probable cost pr. M at Charlestown W. Va for the lumber required for the School house at that place. Can the lumber be purchased at Charlestown or from what point?

Very Respectfully
J. M. Brown
