States that, William Green (col) has been placed on the list of Employees at ($10) ten dollars per month & one ration; as per direction of the Local Supt. D.C. to keep the Water closet in a good sanitary condition.

Official copy of letter, stating that the farms surrounding Marlborough Md, especially those located about two miles N West, are infested by a man or two men (White) who represent to the colored people, that, they are Bureau Agents, fully empowered by the Government to hold confidential meetings with them, & to take their names & exact from them & their children, one (1) dollar each, for the purpose of procuring $300.00 from the Government, which is left them by Mr Lincoln. 	
That these men also represent that, they have visited Dansville, and paid $300 00/100 to each family. 	
The reasons they give to the colored people, is that they will vote this fall, and if they do not vote on the side of their employer, they will be discharger, and this money will prevent pauperism. Etc. Etc.
