Aug. 24" 1868      States that she was employed by [[?]]   of  Georgetown DC; that on Sunday Aug. 16" 1868 in consequence of having some words, with Mrs [[?]] ([Col [[?]] mother) he [[?]], struck her,shoved her down, and threatened to cut her throat; [[?]] she complained to Mr [[?]], Justice of the Peace (foot of High St, Georgetown) [[?]] laid that [[?]] did right; that she called again Tuesday evening (Darneal Lewis already there) and after threatening to strike her with his cane, but he and the Justice ordered her out the office.

States that Joseph [[?]] (cold) late an employee at $10.00 for [[??]] was discharged June 30" 1868 but was reported for July, though he did not serve in any capacity whatever; also that [[?]] am  [[?]] (Cold) was [[?]] at $10.00 for [[?]] for 15 days in June, but has not received the money it being in the hands of [[?]] an agent  of the Bureau, recommends that he [[?]] in hand of [[?]] [[?]] (for which [[?]] [[?]] was reported) he accredited to the Government.
