Dear Sidney,

It has been a long gloomy day, rain and fog all morning and afternoon and then the wind shifted into the north East and it turned to snow and is now over and the trees are all covered and very beautiful. We went up to Doris' folks about five and took back the shawl - quite a long time getting it up there. I got your letter Thursday - guess the Christmas rush delayed it as I always get it Tuesday. We drove down to Maude's aunt Mary's just before we went up to Arthur's - she has been sick two or three days and said she felt as though she had had a shock and felt dizzy and weak. She had a woman staying with her. None of us got up very early this morning. I finished reading one of our Christmas books "Partners of the Tide" By Joseph C. Lincoln Tonight.
