Dear Sidney -
Since I wrote you Sunday the doctor has discovered that Ma cracked her collar bone slightly which was the cause of the pain in her shoulder.  When she had her sick time she tried to get out of bed and fell and either struck a chair or the floor. The doctor says she didn't have a shock but simply hurt her when she fell. Her right arm is bandaged to her side and so she cant write or use it.  She is sitting up in the day time but cant do anything and it must be pretty tiresome to sit and just think all the time. The Doctor is coming Friday to see how it is getting along and I hope it will knit together if that is the process but at her age it doesn't as easily I suppose. She is quite comfortable and doesn't complain of the pain much but when she moves has to be careful. It snowed here about all day today and the lawns are all white but in the road it
