[31 Jan. 1929]

Dear Sidney, -

I rec'd your letter and check for January bank payment. In regard to last April I have no recollection but think I must have used all checks you gave me. If I discover any will let you know but don't think I will find any. Ma is pretty well again and I think has got along finely so far this winter and has a very pleasant sunny room. The letter enclosed came the other day and until opened we didn't any of us know who it was for. Yesterday was a tough day but today is "brite and fair". Ira Burnham died this morning at about 8.30.

Hope to hear from you again soon.
Love from Ralph -
