Ma says if she doesn't come to live with us she will do what she wants to but I told her as gently as I knew how that she would have to do what I told her to do and to write and see what you thought of it. She said she had written to you and you said it was a shame the way we treated her. Maude doesn't think Ma had better come back here and I have got to keep my mind on my work and can't be coming home to break up a fight or follow her along the street with a rock in her hand as I did before. I think we can rent the upstairs if Ma doesn't go there, but am afraid it will queer things if she goes back and that sooner or later she will get into a row with Evelyn or the family upstairs.
