Dear Sidney,

Will write you a few lines about Pa's condition. Have just come back from the hospital and Pa said he was feeling better this morning although the nurse told me he had rather a restless night. I wrote you Monday about taking him over to the hospital. I went over to see him Monday afternoon and he was suffering a lot. Monday night they had a special nurse on all night with him. Fred Stickney caring for him until 7.30 {{7:30}} P.M. when she went on duty. I take Fred over every morning to breakfast and he goes on at 7.30 {{7:30}} AM. The special nurse goes on at 7.30 {{7:30}} PM and Pa is so uneasy and in such pain that he took out the instrument they left in for drainage and he has to have some one with him all the time. Ma went over with me Tuesday and Wed. afternoons and saw him.
