Darling brought up the key yesterday and I'll get busy on the house this week. I have puttyed & painted your window and the back bulkhead.

The N.E. Bank pays 2½ percent so I counsel my mother to draw out only a small sum, $100, at a time from there.

Maybe I will go to Boston tomorrow or Wed. There seems to be no sale advertised of shoes at Filene's, maybe the unusual condition is responsible for not having it. Certainly it always has come at this time.

Miss Colcord came Friday night. They took Doris & Mabel over to the pond yesterday afternoon while they shopped in Brockton. I saw her from the car, but she will come over here sometime later. I think she intends to stay a week here.

There seems to be a dark cloud in the west, as if showers were coming. Maybe it will be cooler.
