I am going to see Kimbis this noon about putting a few shingles on the Bruce roof and will speak to him of putting in new cords at your place. Darling was ducking around me there this forenoon, and I find I can manage him beautifully by just being very cross to him. He just falls over himself. I suppose that's the way the tenants use him! Anyhow, I was quite amused inwardly and kept up the stern face. I think you'd better try that on him too. It really works. He says Kimbis won't do anything for him.... I can see how he would irritate him with his little demands when poor K. is about ready to die from over work.

Am enclosing the telephone bill for you to pay in Arlington.

Miss Colcord came over with the family last night & stayed till late.

Have had to break the $100 bill to pay Grace, but shan't use much of it.

Write about the bureaux.
Doris.
