Dear Sid:

It has been warm today and there is a thunder shower going now at 6.30. I have painted the porch woodwork today & scrubbed up afterwards,— a hot job. Doris went swimming with Mabel, whose father came home early & took them to Field Duck pond. When they got back they found Miss Colcord there on a flying visit,— just stopped with them for a bit. I hope you aren't sweltering. The cat has joined us after several good thunders. He stays in the house on account of catbird young. The bunny is so tame now. D. lets him out and he is very cunning.

Doris.

[[marginalia]] P.S. We've had a heavy hail storm and hard wind. D is out gathering a cup of hail stones after the shower. The fire alarm is going too. [[/marginalia]]
