Dear Sid:

It makes me feel so badly to think of you laboring down in that heat..  I hope that this cool spell has extended to you.  Hugo had a letter from Dorothy saying that folks were succumbing to the heat right and left. He was planning to go back, but has put it off, with that prospect, till it cools off. But today is very fine and breezy.

We went over to the Brockton Parkway swimming pond with the Ballantines yesterday forenoon. It was very warm and the water was a great relief. Doris fished afterwards with a little fellow and had a "wonderful" time. She has been getting her pails and fish lines ready to-day in case they ask us to go again.
