I am going to take Hugo down to Mort Lamb's sometime soon - was going today but Anna Lamb said she was used up - heat - and hadn't gotten up. Myrtle has called up & she is going up to Vermont.

Mrs Barry has gone, and it is a great relief.  We get things we want without a great lot of preliminary. Hugo cooks his own coffee and eggs, makes noodles as he likes them, etc and I am only too glad to get rid of the job. He did the dishes tonight, makes his own bed and generally is an extra maid.

Now I must get to bed. It was so hot the last 2 nights that we all slept poorly - I pitied you down there, and hope it is cooler - Take care of yourself.
