Stoughton, Mass.
Thursday.

Dear Sid:

There isn't much to write, but I don't want you to be calling up long-distance tele. or wiring! Our weather is still awful. I hope you've had a cool place to work, at least.

I saw Teddy Darby when I walked down yesterday. He offered to take me swimming some night up at Ames' Pond! I'd go anywhere anytime if this weather holds.

I have had 2 batches of library books for Doris that have kept her quiet. She is eating well and her leg is nearly whitened out again to its usual color. I think it would not have come up at all Saturday if she hadn't been so over-tired by that long ride up.

My mother is busy hemming up your new pants.

I have been trying to get Doris to write up her diary,— it is nearly 2 weeks late.

We are looking forward to Sat. night Doris declares she will stay up till you come, so start early, but don't rush too fast.

Doris.
