Puerto Amuelles, July 20, 1967, III

being chased by the local dogs (and chickens). This provokes a lot of AggS (I can't see accompanying movements). Then the Samiri retreat. With lots of high pitched sounds. (I think that there are mostly comparatively low intensity L Trll's with relatively weak [[visualization of vocalization]]) and "Tsit" Notes. Possibly also "Seeeet"s/ Certainly mingled with a few GM's.

Saimiri certainly are incredibly abundant in this region!

%:42 pm. Catch brief glimpse of single squirrel, 6 ft up trunk tree edge forest. Probably granatensis (Ordinary phase) Certainly alone

Stopping observations 6:45 pm. Getting dark. And Rain is starting again.

Puerto Amuelles July 21, 1967

Start to walk around clearing 6:00 am. Still quite dark. Heavy cloud. Then we get more or less side tracked by coffee and porridge.

ADDITION: I forgot to mention something which occurred during our first encounter (ca. 2:10 pm) with Saimiri yesterday. One of the (adult) animals did something which appeared to be Lsh. Not very extreme. Quite silent. It occurred at approximately the time when som of the anunmals were doing "Jud". But the individual who did Lsh was not doing Jud at the time. Just watching us. Neither retreating nor advancing. Starting out ion main trip 7:30 am.
