Puerto Armuelles, July 21, 1967, II 24

7:40 am. Came across band of Cebus in fruit patch high mature forest. At least 10 individuals, hanging 60-120 ft up. Quite alone. NOTE: Della Ferra says that they are always alone. One individual is lacking most of tail. (It is supposed to have been this way for that four years!)

Animals quite silent. Apparently rather wary of us. (This species is hunted occasionally here. See also below)

7:46. More and more Cebus appearing. This group is really enormous.

Speak of the devil. Now a band of Saimiri appears. Just to rear of Cebus. Also quite large. And many individuals surprisingly high for species. Group as a whole hanging 20-80 ft up. Some individuals looking for insects. 

Now I see that group of Saimiri is not actually following Cebus!! Groups comme ça:

Now wee see two squirrels with the Saimiri. At least one is ordinary phase granatensis. Mingled quite closely with the monkeys. But no displays between the two species. 

Saimiri are being quite noisey. Quite a lot of Agg. S. Also quite a lot of high pitched sounds. Difficult to distingui
