NOTE: Native hunter with us says that the Saimiri are definitely afraid of Cebus. Whenever the 2 species come together, apparently by chance or attracted by the same food sources, the Cebus tend to attack the Saimiri. He says that he has actually seen a Cebus bite a Saimiri. He also suggests that many of the noises uttered by the Saimiri this morning were reactions to the presence of Cebus not far away.

8:15. Come across same group of Saimiri again. In region of rather scattered tall trees with lots of palms and tangles underneath. Ranging 20-45 ft up. There is still at least one squirrel with group!!! Both squirrel and monkeys quite ignored motionless and silent porcupine only a few yards away in nearby tree.

Saimiri quiet at first. A few Squ, "Tsit"s, brief and soft Trll's. A few QM's.

Then a burst of LTrll's and a few QM's when Marcel approaches them closely. No Mobbing.
