trees. Utter usual "Rattles" (rather variable in pitch), "Rattle"--> muffled Grunt series, Grunts, hoarse single Roars (almost like snores) Also several brief series of rather "growling" roars. These latter may have tended to occur when one of 2 individuals re-joined the other. Possibly "Greeting"?.

ADDITION: I forgot to add that one of the Sakis had definite MO with Roar [[image: filled in pie shape]] Teeth not conspicuous Possibly accompanied by PL

NOTE: Mike Robinson saw a group of 4 Sakis in isolated patch forest. At least 2 adult. More or less close together (within 50 yds). 2 went one way. 2 the other. At least one uttered high pitched sounds.

Going to work in another patch of forest this afternoon About 1 mile away.

Start 3:00 am. Then, 3:05, region of tall mixed forest, see group 4 Tamaruis. Apparently Fuscicollis. 2 on ground or almost. 2 10-20 ft above. Ones on or near ground run up 20 ft immediately. All give alarm reactions to us. Lots of TR with extreme Tail-forward. No SS. Lots of LSN's and Trlls. A few Whistles. Quiet down quite rapidly. And during decline of alarm, I hear a few Short Whines. Also a few Soft Sharp Notes (SSN's)

Animals gradually move off. Silently. 15-30 ft above ground

One or two of these tamarins may half been sub-adult. But certainly more than half grown.
