NOTE: I forgot to add that this species of tamarin seems to leap farther and/or long distances more frequently than the Pinche! Presumably "because" it is smaller.

Stop observations 4:30 pm., without seeing any thing.

ADDITION: There are lots of birds which sound rather like tamarins here. But I am not sure that they are all fly catchers. Possibly some other things as well.

All in all, it would appear that the tamarins here have much the same social organization as the Pinche's in Panama. But they do seem to be more characteristic of "real" forest

NOTE: Mike says he heard a double hoot - possibly Hoot performance of Aotus - in patch of forest, same isolated patch in which he saw Sahis this morning.

Going to work in another patch of forest this morning. Looks quite good, tall, and mixed. Arrive 6:05 am. Unfortunately it is raining. Moderately hard. Obviously nothing is going to be visible while rain continues. So we will just wait.

NOTE: I have a new guide this morning. He says that there are Calliubus near this area too. In a "vega." I.E. again probably low scrub.

6) 6:28 am. Rain gradually stopping. See group of 3
