8:30 am. Following path to La Agrula Region second growth forest. Lots of thin tree trunks. Palms and bamboo. Come across large groups of tamarins. 5-7 individuals. Behavior rather surprising. Don't seem particularly alarmed by us. Do not react immediately. Nor do they make an attempt to mob.

Utter lots and lots of Whistles. Also quite a few Long Whistles: Also lots of Sharp Notes. Varying considerably in loudness. Possibly including both LSN's and SSN's. Also a few Trills. But usually only where we provoked them by approaching closely. This would seem to indicate that Trills are higher intensity (contain more escape?) than at least some Sharp Notes.
