Harpy Eagle perched 30 ft up in tree. When it sees us, flies off In opposite direction from Saimiri-apella group.

8:15am. Considerably further on. Region of very mixed vegetation. Some thick tall trees. Some low palms. Lots of thin vertical trunks. Come across group of tamarins. Apparently fuscicollis. When first seen, travelling 15-30 ft up. Then some go up to 40-50 ft when they see me. Lots of Trills and LSN's. Trll's usually when I am still. Just like geoffroyi. Also extreme Tip-coiling or Tail-curving. With extreme TR. By both silent and vocalizing inds. At least 6 inds. in group. Possibly more. Hear one burst of Mf. Squeaks. No Inf. Rasps. Group moves off quite rapidly. With squirrel-like leaps. No Indri-type leaping.

8:35 am. See single squirrel. Bright orange red all over. Another form of granatensis??? Moving along ground. Quite silent. This area is at least 200-300 yards away from where fuscicollis seen. IE the squirrel does not seem to be associated with the tamarins

8:57 am Region of mature forest. Come across group of Woolly Monkeys. I don't see them very well myself. But guide says that there were at least 3 in group. And I saw one carrying infant on back. All very high in tress. 50-80 ft up. Move off very rapidly. Movements themselves very noisy. But absolutely no vocalizations. Animals apparently quite alone. No other species associated.
