adults. And one adult is carrying infant!  All inds. high in trees. 80-100 (or 120) ft up.  Group quite coherent.  Inds. ranging 2-25 ft apart.  Some "playing tag" (and possibly brief wrestling) among the sub-adults.  Group apparently not (greatly) disturbed by our presence.  Quite silent.  But apparently not feeding during the period of observation.

  Movements in trees quite like Ateles.

  Group definitely alone as far as not associated with other monkeys (or squirrels).  But Lisa saw a fairly large hawk not far away at the same time.  Can't tell if this was coincidence or not.

  Observations stop 12:00 Noon.

  NOTE:  Although it has been quite wet, on the whole, ever since our arrival in this region, there is still some evidence of a "little dry season."  When we flew from Florencia to Valparaiso, I saw many more trees in bloom than in June.

  Starting observations again 2:00 pm.

  2:10  Region of mature forest on flat ground near stream.  Hear one Cebus type MGB.  Also a few knocking sounds.  But cannot see animals.  They just fade away quite silently.  Certainly no Saimiri around at the time.  I think (and guide agrees with me) that there must have been C. albifrons.
