Notes. And the whole lot takes off like the wind.

Approximately 1/2 hour later, we hear more Inds. proceeding in same general direction, but far to our left. Possibly additional members of same band. Also quiet. No vocalizations.

If this group was pure apella, it is interesting that the inds. seemed to be much shier (and probably quieter) than the apella with Saimiri.

11:55 am. Walking along another path. Regional mixed forest. Largely mature. But with lots of understory. And one old clearing with scrub. Cone across large group of Saimiri 20+. Moving at all levels of vegetation. 10-80 (or 100) ft up. Group quite coherent. All animals moving rapidly. But rather zig-zag. Group as a whole not making much progress.

Inds. looking for grubs on leaves. One eats small hard green fruits.

Movements of inds. quite noisy. But there are no vocalizations. Until one ind. sees us. This provokes burst of hoarse "Tsit" Notes (i.e. Sneezing Sharp Notes) Later on, I can hear screeching in background. Presumably a dispute.
